New Members
Presbyterian Church of the Cross welcomes the following new members to our church.
Shannon Peeples
A long-time supporter of PCC. She feels right at home! She has served this Church for TEN Years! She is the partner of Tara Peeples. She was married in this church. Their son, Knox, was baptized in this church. Shannon has always served this church. Their family has participated in Lighting the Advent Candle. She has helped in the preparation of fellowships. She has graciously given to support our outreach programs. Through her everyday service to our children in this community, she allows PCC to support students who attend her school. She and Tara are responsible for our commercial refrigerator have been a blessing to our activities and Ministry. She is organized and a planner, but what I admire most about Shannon is her spirit of “Calm”… In other words… I got this …I’ve got you in this….She goes about life with ease…She said…”God put it in my heart… God said, it was Time…and she obeyed! She was invited to PCC by the Peeples Family… Tara & Kaylene… We welcome Shannon and we are blessed by your Ministry.
Knox
The Peeples Family with them Knox Peeples… Knox Peeples! He is the Son of Tara and Shannon Peeples. I love Knox! He has a spirit of Calm, as well. His Ministry is a blessing to the church.. he attends Sunday School, He has been a part of PCC’s Ministry… all of his life. He was baptized at PCC. He participated and has been a character in our Christmas Programs. He participated and shared scripture for our Easter Cantata. He has participated in our Festival of Lesson and Carols Program. He is smart and always says “yes”! We are blessed by his Ministry and welcome him to PCC – Knox!
RJ
She brings with her Rodney Langley, JR. better known as RJ! He is the Son of Rodney and Simone Langley….Simone’s Son…, but I love him best! His Ministry is a blessing to the church.. he attends Sunday School, he sings with the Voices of Angels Choir, He has been a soloist for our Worship Service. He has been a soloist (Trumpeter) for our Christmas Programs. He was a character in or Christmas Play. He has memorized and recited this Scripture reading for our Easter Cantata. He has participated in our Festival of Lesson and Carols Program. He is smart and always says “yes”! We are blessed by his Ministry and welcome him to PCC – RJ!
Simone Bowers – Langley… comes to PCC by Certificate of Transfer.
Since being a part of this Ministry, she has been instrumental in all areas of our Ministry. She has met with the Session and been commissioned to help us develop/revise our overall mission, vision, and strategy. She has held workshops to help us listen to what God is calling us to do. She attends Bible Study and Sunday School. She participated in our 2021 Festival of Lessons and Carols Program in December. Their family has lighted our Advent Candle for Worship. She supports us for fellowships by lending a helping hand for special worship services. She checks on your Pastor’s work-life balance. She invites her family and friends to worship with us. We are delighted that she has chosen to share her gifts and talents with PCC. We look forward to sharing in Ministry with Simone Bowers–Langley. She was invited to PCC by Rev. Vicki McCain. Simone… welcome.
Samantha Lyons – Kitrell… comes to PCC by Certificate of Transfer.
Samantha has been coming to PCC for over the last 2 years. She to comes from a Southern Baptist background. She first visited PCC when Frank was installed as Elder. She loved the friendly vibe and has continued to come. She attends Bible Study and is always friendly and pleasant! Her spirit is contagious! She serves this community each day through United Way. She said… I am ready to serve in some capacity.. to serve the Lord and this community. She was invited to PCC by Franklin E. McCain. Samantha… we welcome you and we are blessed by your Ministry!
